- Meet Achini -

Achini is a 16 year old girl who lives in Sri Lanka, who enjoys making music. She is warm hearted and incredibly strong. Achini was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and suffers from seizures as well as numerous other symptoms.

Earlier this year, she was admitted to the intensive care unit with pneumonia, but has recovered very well.

Her devoted carers, her parents and sibling, help Achini with -

• Buying medical and hygiene equipment such as adult diapers

• Attending regular appointments with her neurologist and neurosurgeon

Given her intellectual and speaking difficulties, Achini does not attend school. Instead she has a supportive community surrounding her that provide her with home tutoring.
